There it was, this day in downtown Hartford, Ct. The weather was perfect. The sun high, the sky blue and the smile on both Danielle and Lacey’s face… Brighter than the day itself. Something tells me that when Danielle proposed to Lacey their smiles were just as bright, if not more so. I mean… Danielle popped the question at one of Lacey’s favorite places, “where’s that?” you ask??? Ya know… That magical kind of place, Magic Kingdom at Disney World. And to top that off, it was at Cinderalla’s Royal Table. Of course Lacey said yes, if you saw the way these two look at each other, you would understand that it’s all just meant to be.
So, back to the Society Room, Lacey and Danielle moved across the country, and I mean ACROSSSS the country and planned their wedding from the opposite coast. Still, everything came together so perfectly. (one of the reasons asking the right professional vendors into your day is so key)… The Society Room ran the day as they always do, on point. And for these two, hair and make up done, back to back, and that moment, before the ceremony, with just their bridal party watching, they got to see each other for the first time. The look on Danielle’s face, in awe with excitement. Lacey, the emotion rolling as her smile lit up all around her and the tears began to sneak out. That moment, right there, we could have let that moment last hours because in that moment, the rest of the world faded away…..
From there, the day seamlessly rolled. Their ceremony was perfect, their family and friends taking in each word, each vow, each moment. First dances happened, Danielle and her dad laughing the song away, Lacey and her mom, some tears… Darn them though, they got me. A tear may or may not have welled up. What can I say, I love what I do and when those moments happen. Somethings they get me like……..
Dinner, dancing, music pumping and the night rapidly ran itself short. As a photographer, I get an inside run at the day and I don’t think anything was out of place, missed or forgotten??? Maybe I’m wrong, if so they did a good job at covering it up. Really though, I think the day was pretty legit and spot on!!!!
